Psychoanalytic
Psychotherapy
Psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults in Munich-Schwabing.
A space for analytic work
In this kind of work, change does not come about through instruction or advice, but through something subtler: through understanding and lived experience within a therapeutic relationship that itself becomes a space for development. Symptoms, inhibitions, recurring patterns in thinking, feeling or relationships — these are rarely random disturbances. They have a history, and it is often precisely this history that has, over time, made experience and thought rigid and immovable. Where a person actually wants to feel, to reflect or to find their bearings, they keep running up against the same inner limits. Analytic work aims not to bypass these limits but to understand them — and in doing so to regain room to move: in experience, in thought, and in the freedom to live one’s own life as one’s own.
Forms of therapy
Psychoanalytic psychotherapy
Several sessions per week, with or without the couch. Identifying and working through conscious and unconscious conflicts, and overcoming disruptions in personality development.
Learn more →Psychodynamic psychotherapy
One or more sessions per week, seated face to face. Exploring the unconscious history behind present difficulties, bringing emotional patterns into awareness and reshaping them.
Learn more →Short-term therapy
Focused work on current psychological strain, with clearly defined goals and a limited time frame. Without the aim of comprehensive personality change.
